The Salvation Army in Emporia, KS will begin accepting applications for Christmas assistance.
November 6 – 15:
Tuesdays & Wednesdays 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Thursdays 1:00 – 6:00 p.m.
November 19 – November 30 applications will be accepted by appointment.
PLEASE NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO ADDITIONAL SIGN UP DAYS OR LATE DISTRIBUTION DAYS.
Eligible families and seniors are welcome to apply in person at The Salvation Army,
327 Constitution, Emporia, KS. 66801.
All applicants will need to bring the following items:
*picture id of applicant
*case summary print out from DCF
(Legal documentation with child’s birthdate must be provided if not on DCF printout) or *proof of all household income for all adults living in the home (including most current pay check stubs for 1 month, social security, etc.) *proof of all persons living in the home
(ex.- medical/insurance cards, rental lease, income tax form [not eligible as proof of income], etc.)
** New this year: proof of age for children in home (legal document with child’s birthdate must be provided) *proof of Lyon county resident if not on id.
Come prepared with the following information:
Accurate sizes of child’s clothing, underclothes and shoes and specific gifts suggestions
Families and seniors who qualify for Christmas assistance receive food for holiday meals and gifts for children 16 yrs. and younger
