Abilene Christian Women’s July Coffee
The Abilene Christian Women invite all women to the monthly Coffee on Thursday, July 5, 2018, from 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. at the Elks Club, 417 NW 4th St. The theme for June is “Fashions of Summer.” Edith Head, famous Hollywood fashion designer said, “You can have anything you want in life if you dress for it.” Ladies of all ages will want to join us and see lively and lovely summer styles available locally. The interesting and inspiring speakers, tasty treats, unique and attractive decorations, as well as the music of our local talent make this event a highlight of the month for attendees.
Aksent Boutique, will be presenting a fashion show featuring models wearing some colorful, cool and stylish outfits of the season. Kristin Hatfield, store manager, shown here, will MC this Special Feature. Kristin has been working for 11 years with the boutique owner, Jamie Stroda. When they opened in 2006, they began selling handmade jewelry and handbags. Over time, clothing sales have become their main fare. They do continue to create jewelry and can design custom, one-of-a-kind pieces to coordinate with any outfit. Their mission is to help each customer accentuate their own uniqueness. Owner Jamie explains that their store is the product of what the customers want. Attendees are encouraged to bring their teen daughters and granddaughters, who will definitely enjoy this clothing exhibition.
