Abilene Christian Women’s Connection Coffee
“Let the Sunshine In” is the theme at the Abilene Christian Women’s Connection Coffee Thursday, June 6, 2019! All women are invited to meet that morning at the Elks Club, 417 NW 4th St. from 9:30 – 11:15 a.m. Our gardens and fields are supercharged from the Spring rains and we are ready for the brightness of fellowship with friends and acquaintances at this monthly event! You are encouraged to invite guests to hear fascinating speakers, see beautiful decorations, win attractive door prizes, taste delicious refreshments and enjoy the tunes of talented local musicians.
Carrie Carlson, the Director of JC Pregnancy Center at 823 N. Washington St., Junction City, Kansas will be our Special Feature Speaker. She has served both as a volunteer and Executive Director with pregnancy centers for 18 years. She and her husband Doug have been married for 38 years and have 3 adult children. Carrie will be speaking about the outreach to and impact of the JC Pregnancy Center in the lives of women, families and children in the area.
Karen Blankenship from Peculiar, Missouri will be the Speaker for the June Coffee. She is a speaker, author and life coach. Karen is also a former music professor at Calvary Bible College in Kansas and has been involved in education both nationally and internationally for over 30 years. Karen has 3 children and 4 grandchildren. In her talk, Karen will share how you can work through the scars in your life and experience healing from the inside out.
Jeaneen Taplin, pianist from Abilene will play the Gathering Music. Karen Travelute, also from Abilene will provide the Special Music as she plays her autoharp and sings.
