Ready, Set, SPRING” is the theme at the Abilene Christian Women’s Connection Coffee Thursday, March 7, 2019!   All women are invited to meet that morning at the Elks Club, 417 NW 4th St.  from 9:30 – 11:15 a.m.  We were all disappointed that the February Coffee was cancelled due to a winter snow and ice storm.  Our February scheduled speakers and musicians will be invited back to a future coffee.  As the days lengthen and our clocks “spring” forward we encourage ladies to invite friends and family members to join them at this event to burst forth from the isolation and cabin fever brought on by winter cold and experience the joy of fellowship with friends and acquaintances.  Together we will hear interesting and inspiring speakers, see beautiful decorations, win attractive door prizes, eat delicious refreshments and be enlivened by upbeat music.

Will Sprouse, resident of Enterprise and marathon runner will be our Special Feature Speaker.  He has lived in the area since 6th grade when his dad was assigned to Ft. Riley.  He graduated from Chapman High School.  Will is a pilot, owns Tossed and Sauced Pizza and serves as head of maintenance at Brown Memorial Home.  It has been said that “Exercise is medicine.”  Regular aerobic activity for 30 minutes, 5 times per week has the benefits of helping to prevent many unpleasant and life-threatening health conditions and extend life expectancy.    Mr. Sprouse will share the inspiring and motivating story of his journey to overcome his grief at the death of his father as well as conquer serious health problems through running.

Robin Reese from Longview, Texas will be the Speaker for the March Coffee.  She is a former pharmacy technician, international speaker and the wife, of a retired corporate executive.  She lived in South Africa for 6 years under very dangerous circumstances.  In her talk, Robin will explain “How to be Secure in and Unsecured World!”

Anna Gugler, pianist from Abilene will play the Gathering and Special Music.

The cost for this event is $5 for adults and $2.00 for children age 10 and under.  Infants are free.  Make reservations or cancellations for this meeting by sending an email to c-hoover@eaglecom.net or calling Carolyn Hoover at (785) 263-4285 by Saturday,  March 2nd, 2019.
