Abilene Christian Women’s Connection Coffee
Kick off your Christmas holiday season at the Abilene Christian Women’s Connection Coffee! All women are invited to attend this event on Thursday, December 6th, 2018, from 9:30 – 11:15 a.m. at the Elks Club, 417 NW 4th St. The theme for December is “Sounds of the Season.” Women from Abilene and the surrounding communities, their family members and guests are welcome to attend. Everyone will want to be at the Coffee to connect with friends, make new acquaintances, and hear this month’s inspiring and interesting speaker. Coffee, tea, and delicious home baked refreshments combine with uplifting music, seasonal table decorations and door prizes to make this a popular and unique get-together!
Christmas Caroling Sing-A-Long is the Special Feature for this event. Jean Boyd and Marilyn Whittle will lead the singing. Accompanists will be pianist, Linda Brown; violinist, Carolyn Graves and Mary Jo Miles playing the recorder.
Chapman High School Select Ensemble will provide Special Music for the December Coffee. Angeline McGuffin is the director and Shaun Blocker is the piano accompanist.
Malinda Olson from Paola, Kansas will be the speaker. In her encouraging talk, “Once, Twice & Then Again,” Malinda will remind us that even when life is harder than we thought, things don’t go as we plan or we make poor choices, there can be hope, healing and second chances!
The cost for this event is $5 for adults and $2.00 for children age 10 and younger. Infants are free. Make reservations or cancellations for this meeting by sending an email to email@example.com or calling Carolyn Hoover at (785) 263-4285 by Saturday, December 1st.
